The letter points to the recent collapse of the Fern Hollow Bridge in Pittsburgh as evidence that many bridges are in poor condition so heavier trucks could result in extra stress and more dangerous situations.
This effort is organized by the Coalition Against Bigger Trucks with support from organizations such as the PA Chiefs of Police Association, the PA Municipal League, and the PA Sheriff’s Association.
