WASHINGTON—Congress is likely to consider several proposals this session to increase truck size and weight. The Coalition Against Bigger Trucks (CABT) commissioned a live-operator nationwide poll of 800 likely voters, of which the overwhelming majority oppose longer and heavier trucks. The survey was conducted Jan. 10-14, 2018, and had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
“This nationwide poll illustrates that motorists clearly do not want to be flanked by longer or heavier tractor-trailers on the highway, and that goes for Republicans and Democrats alike,” said Harper Polling president Brock McCleary.
